The fires in Southern California have affected hundreds of thousands of people, and as the fires themselves start to wind down, the hard work of putting the pieces back together has to begin. Zombie Squad is raising money to give to Direct Relief International, a respected relief organization that has a long history of getting aid and material where it is most needed; we will appreciate any help that you are able to give.The fund-raiser will take 2 forms: straight-up donations (at the bottom of this page) as has been done in the past, and a raffle of items donated by ZS members. Feel free to mix and match your giving between the raffle and donations...remember, it's all going to help people in need.
Each raffle e-ticket costs $2.00 (USD), and they can be bought singly and in groups of 5 or 10 e-tickets. At the end of the raffle, we will choose (at random) from the raffle e-tickets for each item, announce the winners, and donors will mail the items out to the winners.

Raffle
Please look at the items below, and buy raffle e-tickets for any that appeal to you. Each raffle e-ticket costs $2.00 (USD), and they can be bought singly and in groups of 5 or 10 e-tickets. At the end of the raffle, we will choose, at random, from the raffle e-tickets for each item, announce the winners, and mail the items out from the donors to the winners.Raffle items will be added as they are submitted to me {if you wish to donate an item for the raffle, please send me an email with a picture and brief description of the item}, so please check back for the duration of the fund-raiser.
{Please keep in mind that Zombie Squad and I cannot be responsible for the shipment of raffle items, this will be operated on the honor system, so the raffle is at your own risk.}
Item 1: Papier Mache Skull
This is a super, hand made, paper mache zombie head. You can use it as a decoration, sneak it into a fellow ZS members sleeping bag at Z-Con, put candy in it and use it as a pinata, cut off the top stick a plastic bowl in the top and use it for dip or salsa at your next party, the possibilities are endless!
Item 2: The Living Dead, Volumes 1-3
A cool graphic novel about...zombies. This item includes the first 3 volumes to give you a taste of the series, the last 4 you will have to find on your own.
Item 3: Thinsulate Watchcap
I have a spare copy of this hat, and you can have the other one. It has Thinsulate in between the 2 layers of the reversible hat, one side is camouflage, the other side is blaze orange.
Item 4: The Max Brooks Collection
I loved these books, and you will too! Both have been gently read, and although the hardback version of WWZ is missing its dust-jacket, these books are good for lots more reading.
Item 5: Ration Bars
This item includes 3 ration bars certified by lots of countries for emergency use; each one provides 2500 calories, and is broken into 9 pieces. Packed in a BOB or GHB, this should provide you with adequate nutrition for 3 days of zombie-dodging activities.
Item 6: EDC Stuff
A cool collection of EDC tools: a Leatherman Micra, a tiny PrincetonTec LED light, and a whistle with a compass and thermometer built into it.
Item 7: Swiss Mess-kit and Stove
I found these on sale at such a good price that I bought 2 of them...good deal, dumb move...my stupidity is your gain. All of these components fit together into a neat little package.
Item 8: Streamlight Microlight
An awesome LED penlight that's bright and tough, as we all should be...
Item 9: Paracord
A 100 foot package of OD paracord...if you can't find a use for this, you should cut open your skull now, to save the zombies some work...
Item 10: Israeli Emergency Bandage
A spectacular trauma bandage that belongs in every FAK. This one is new and in the package.
Item 11: 2-tone Paracord Keychain
A handmade paracord keychain in black and OD, contains about 10-12 feet of paracord.
Item 12: : Olive Drab Paracord Keychain
A handmade paracord keychain in OD, contains about 8 feet of paracord.
Item 13: : Paracord Bracelet
Handmade Paracord Bracelet. Made using a Fastex Buckle , and approximately 10-12ft of Paracord total, done in Black and Olive Drab.
Item 14: : PrincetonTec Aurora Headlamp
One slightly used, but in like new condition black, Princeton Tec Aurora (comes with a fresh set of batteries). It has served me well, and with it's long run time and wide range of settings, the Aurora would be perfect for almost any disaster.
Item 15: : Day by Day Armageddon by J.L. Bourne
One new copy of the out of print edition of the book in pristine condition. An ongoing journal depicting one man's personal struggle for survival, dealing with the trials of an undead world unfolding around him.
The fires in Southern California displaced hundreds of thousands of people and burned thousands of homes and businesses, so any amount that you are able to give will be very much appreciated and will go directly to helping people in the area affected (ZS will even make up the difference in the fees from paypal, so that every penny that you donate will go to people in need in California)

As you can see from the url above, the raffle and donation webpage are not hosted or run directly by Zombie Squad. They are being hosted on my server space, and run by "NFA". All funds go directly to the Zombie Squad Paypal account, so I rest assured that I won't be running off to Mexico with everyone's money...
